A coming era where robots are more prevalent and integrated into a deeply damaged society appears well within reach, and the screenplay by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green is as strong as all the visual splendor. This is an imaginative science fiction film where the threads of the future are already present. Agent K picks up snippets of the physical and emotional dangers Deckard encountered a generation prior, and 2049 collects the echoes and builds upon the themes of core identity at the individual and collective levels.Īgent K's quest quickly becomes deeply personal and yet carries boundless implications. Plotwise Blade Runner 2049 is a proper sequel, and it's well worth recalling Deckard's adventure from the first film to properly enjoy the rich continuation of the story. Loud, synth-driven and often overbearing, Zimmer adds to the film's sensory texture but also frequently intrudes rather than complements. The music is co-composed by Hans Zimmer, and is jarring in its exquisite discordancy. As a quibble, some of the sets are notable for their lack of animation, Agent K incongruently often the only presence at locations away from the central marketplace. In addition to playing with colours, contrasts, mists and glowing nighttime environments, Villeneuve frequently shoots through partially transparent surfaces, rain-covered windows a favourite technique, both to add artistry and heighten the sense of receding-but-still-there barriers between humans and machines. Crowded markets dominated by garish and holographic neon signs on imposing buildings, garbage disposal wastelands, the sleek innards of colossal corporations, and the ruins of a gaudy Las Vegas all flicker to life in visions both harrowing and unmistakably compelling. Every scene features an exposition of a future world offering little to celebrate but enthralling nonetheless. Villeneuve combines regular doses action with stunning visuals to bring Agent K's search to life, and the film is a lavish feast for the eyes. Dick, and creates an absorbing, thought-provoking story about the evolution of what is real and what ultimately matters. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the sequel breathes deeply from the world created by Scott and original short story author Philip K. Set 30 years after the events of the first film and released 35 years after Ridley Scott's flawed and multi-versioned classic, Blade Runner 2049 is an unequivocal masterpiece. Ana Stelline (Carla Juri) and retired blade runner Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), hiding in the radiated wasteland of Las Vegas. Helped by his holographic girlfriend Joi (Ana de Armas), K's inquiries lead him to replicant dream creator Dr. Niander Wallace (Jared Leto) suspects that the answers being sought by K could give him enormous additional influence, and instructs his chief enforcer replicant Luv (Sylvia Hoeks) to track K's movements. Joshi assigns K to track the origins of the bones, a journey that starts at the Wallace Corporation, the massive company that took over the assets of the replicants' original designer and manufacturer Tyrell. K's boss Lieutenant Joshi (Robin Wright) and her team unearth the container and find it filled with the bones of a deceased replicant harbouring a shocking secret. Buried deep under a tree on Morton's property is a strong box. He uncovers the whereabouts of replicant Sapper Morton (David Bautista), a farmer who puts up a fierce fight before K gets the upper hand. It's the titular year, and Agent K (Ryan Gosling), a replicant working for the Los Angeles Police Department, is a "blade runner", an expert at tracking down and retiring older generation rogue replicants. A magnanimous science fiction epic, Blade Runner 2049 expands on the original with a rich quest for private and collective identity. Zones B, C and X correspond to areas outside the 100-year or 1%-annual-chance floodplains, areas of 100-year sheet flow flooding with average depths less than 1 foot, areas of 100-year stream flooding where contributing drainage areas are less than 1 square mile, or areas protected from the 100-year or 1%-annual-chance flood by levees. Mandatory flood insurance purchase requirements and floodplain management standards apply. Because detailed hydraulic analyses have not been performed, no Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) or flood depths are shown. Zone V corresponds to areas along coasts subject to inundation by the 1-percent-annual-chance flood event with additional hazards associated with storm-induced waves. Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) derived from detailed hydraulic analyses are shown. Zone VE and V1-30 corresponds to areas subject to inundation by the 1%-annual-chance flood event with additional hazards due to storm-induced velocity wave action. Average flood depths derived from detailed hydraulic analysis are shown within this zone. Zone AO corresponds to areas of the 100-year, or 1% annual chance, shallow flooding (typically sheet flow on sloping terrain) where average depths are between 1 and 3 feet. BFEs derived from detailed hydraulic analysis are shown at select intervals within this zone. Zone AH corresponds to areas of the 100-year, or 1% annual chance, shallow flooding with a constant water-surface elevation (usually areas of ponding) where average depths are between 1 and 3 feet. Usually, BFEs derived from detailed hydraulic analysis are shown at select intervals within this zone. Zone AE and A1-A30 corresponds to 100-year, or 1% annual chance, floodplain that is determined in the Flood Insurance Study by detailed methods. Detailed hydraulic analysis is not performed for such areas, and no Base Flood Elevation (BFE) or depth is shown for this zone. Zone A corresponds to the 100-year, or 1% annual chance, floodplain determined by approximate methods. Areas subject to inundation by the 500-year flood (0.2%-annual-chance flood).Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) or depths (BFE is the calculated elevation of the 100-year flood).Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA) identified on the FIRM as zones A, AE, AH, AO, AR, V, VE or A99.Major highways, secondary roads, lakes, railroads, streams and other waterways. The 100-year flood is not a flood event that happens once in a hundred years, rather a flood event that has a 1% chance of occurring every year. It is more precisely defined as the floodplain associated with a flood that has a 1% annual chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year. The hazard area or, Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), shown on the flood map is known as the 100-year floodplain. The interface for doing this is similar to Stage Manager on the iPad, with a “Window Bar” at the bottom of each app to adjust positioning and an arrow in the corner to adjust the size of each app. VisionOS allows you to open multiple apps and arrange them as you see fit. There were a few times that I selected the wrong thing and ended up in the wrong app, but it was easy enough to navigate back to the home screen by simply pressing the Digital Crown. There’s absolutely a learning curve to figuring out how to navigate around visionOS, but even in my 30 minutes with Vision Pro, I became pretty comfortable with most of the gestures. An open-ended flick of your wrist will activate inertia scrolling just like on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You can zoom in by tapping and pinching just like you would on an iPhone, and you can scroll by flicking your wrist. A simple tap of your fingers allows you to select an object. I didn’t get to try out any of the voice control features, but the eye and hand control gestures were really impressive. VisionOS relies entirely on your eyes, hands, and voice for navigation. I used my eyes to move through the grid of apps. The home screen is similar to the honeycomb view on the Apple Watch. From there, I was taken to the Home View. In my first interaction, visionOS showed Apple’s iconic “Hello” message floating in space. Using visionOSįrom there, I started exploring visionOS, the operating system that powers the Vision Pro headset. It was surprisingly easy to get a snug fit. I put it on and adjusted the fit to my liking using the Head Band at the top and the flexible strap around the side. With the boring stuff out of the way, it was time to try the Vision Pro headset itself. For those who wear glasses, however, Apple had vision test equipment set up. I wear contacts rather than glasses, so I didn’t have to go through the vision testing portion of the experience. The iPhone 14 just didn’t want to scan my left ear for some reason. I had some trouble with the Personalized Spatial Audio part of the setup experience, but it didn’t seem to have an impact on the actual Vision Pro experience. The next step was setting up Spatial Audio, which consisted of scanning my face and both ears. This was done using a simple scanning system on an iPhone 14 that was similar to the process of setting up Face ID on a new iPhone. When I arrived at Apple’s special demo building, I went through the process of being fitted for Vision Pro. When I arrived at the demo building on the far corner of Apple Park, I was then whisked away once again… into an alternate world powered by visionOS. At WWDC 2023, Apple officially unveiled its new Vision Pro headset, which it describes as a “revolutionary spatial computer.” I was in the crowd at today’s keynote when it was announced, and shortly thereafter, I was whisked away on a golf cart to go try out the Apple Vision Pro. However, time ranges specified directly in the base search do not apply to subsearches. Time ranges selected from the Time Range Picker apply to the base search and to subsearches. Because the search does not specify the latest time modifier, the default value now is used for latest.įor more information, see Specify time modifiers in your search in the Search Manual. The search uses the time specified in the time modifier and ignores the time in the Time Range Picker. You add the time modifier earliest=-2d to your search syntax. When you use a time modifier in the SPL syntax, that time overrides the time specified in the Time Range Picker.įor example, suppose your search uses yesterday in the Time Range Picker. This example uses which is a date format variable. Searching with relative time modifiers, earliest or latest, finds every event with a timestamp beginning, ending, or between the specified timestamps.įor example, when you search for the search finds every event with a _time value since midnight. This timestamp, which is the time when the event occurred, is saved in UNIX time notation. When an event is processed by Splunk software, its timestamp is saved as the default field _time. Before any user clicks a visualization, a pie chart visualization will display the results for POST, preventing an empty visualization.Use time modifiers to customize the time range of a search or change the format of the timestamps in the search results. The example also sets the default value POST on the token method. Notice how the token is given the name method in the column chart's options and how that name is used in the token name syntax as $method$ in Search_2. The following is a source code example of setting a token. The data connection between the two visualizations is achieved by setting up a token on the column chart $method$= and passing the $method$ token to the search in the pie chart. When users click on a method in the column chart, the pie chart shows a breakdown of all response codes for the clicked method. One is a column chart that displays HTTP methods and their usage frequency, and the other is a pie chart that shows the analysis of HTTP response codes for a given HTTP method. You can specify a token that passes along information between different visualizations. To set default token values for inputs, see Adding and configuring inputs. The following is an example of a defaults section after a token receives a default setting. After setting your default, the defaults section of your dashboard definition updates with a tokens section. You can set a default token in the UI by navigating to the Drilldown Settings of the Configuration panel and following the steps for setting a token. Use default tokens to display data and prevent empty visualizations. Without a default token, a visualization will remain blank until a user interacts with a dashboard element associated with a token. For example, a token can update when a user clicks on a visualization. A token's value will change and update when users interact with dashboard elements. Add your token to a search or visualization within your dashboard.Ī token's default value exists for the moments before a user has interacted with a dashboard component. For more details about default token values, see Default token. (Optional) In the Default Value field, enter a default value.row.value is the value in the specified series corresponding to the location clicked.value is the value of the location clicked.name is the field name of the value/location clicked. In the Choose an event field, select either name, value, or row.value.Token names are used to reference the token elsewhere in the dashboard with the $token_name$ syntax In the Create a name field, type a name for your token.A predefined token captures information to display dynamically.

These are just some of the reasons why KJUS Pro 3L 2.o was joint Most Wanted Rain Gear Winner of 2022. Spine, elbow and shoulder-blade flex points as well adjustable mid-section and wrist sleeves get you totally dialed in. The companies that did well made breathability a top priority so you don’t feel like you’re golfing inside a trash bag. Most of the rain gear, like waterproof bags, did a good job at keeping water out but not every one went the extra mile with breathability. Whatever your preference may be, we have the answer: the best of the best (and pricier), rain suits under $300 or a jacket for about 50 bucks. This is a category where the prices of rain gear can deter you from purchasing but ask yourself this question: Do I invest in a top-quality rain suit that may last my whole golfing career or buy a cheap jacket every year? It’s that time of year again where those summer showers come out of nowhere so it’s important you have a rain suit to keep you dry. Go left (Right is also fine, but for this example we’re going left. HUB ROOM ENDINGS: For some of these endings, you have to reach the hub room (the main game starting place) as a human. Generally, resistance only factors into purely mental transformations that have no affect on your physical form. Some TFs bypass your resistance, such as slime and claygirl. Some endings can only be reached through "medium" resistance - gained when you concentrate (right when the game starts) but give up before learning your original name and - while other endings require high resistance - gained when you focus enough to remember your name and job. It refers to how well you resist mental changes. I'm going to take a moment to explain the hidden mechanic "resistance" - while it might change during the game, it currently depends on whether you tried to focus at the beginning of the game. Take a left, as a human, slime or claygirl Take care to remember your name and job in the first room Take a left, as a human, claygirl, or slime. Stay here (You only have an option to resist if you remembered your name and job in the first room.) Take a left, as either a human, or claygirl Protest that you couldn't know any better Explore the lands beyond the second door Exit through the first door, ignoring the pool Agree to stay and let the redhead scrub you Pay the girl back for all she's given you (It's only polite) Follow directions to turn into a claygirl After transforming into a claygirl, don't pull out. While this option does open up certain endings, it also limits you considerably (at least until I open up the water world.) Escape the first room, through any means Note: At this point, certain endings require you to be in certain forms. Dare your ‘mistress’ to try and make you.Įnding 7: A mind is a wonderful thing to waste Same steps as step one, but look for Giselle.instead of going to your mistress. Kinks (which can be filtered out) include soft vore, self cest, pregnancy, weight gain, tentacle play, bimboization, inanimate tf, lactation, unbirthing, and slavery (specifically your character being made a slave turning off this kink *should* remove all mentions of slavery, unless I missed something.)Ī few of the endings have pictures some commissioned, some fanart. \o/ĬW: dub-to-non-con, usually through use of mind control or reality rewrites. With a special focus on the new Lock Screen and notifications that don't distract, iOS 16 also overhauls the way Apple users receive notifications on their iPhones. Lastly, with iOS 16 Widget Kit makes it easy for developers to add information from their apps to the new Lock Screen widgets. Lock screens can then be animated too, if that strikes your fancy! And, just like you can create multiple desktops on a Mac, with iOS 16 you can create multiple lock screens that shuffle, so you never get bored with seeing the same image day-after-day. The Wallpaper Gallery is complete with various wallpapers, Photo shuffle, and suggested photos to use for your iPhone background. Widgets, which are "really useful for getting information at a glance," are going to be available on Lock Screen with iOS 16 as well as a "brand new Wallpaper Gallery." This allows you to fully customize nearly every element of your lock screen for the first time in iOS history. You can also tap on any element to start editing, such as the time, etc. Press and hold the Lock Screen to personalize. You can easily customize themes, colors, and more with iOS 16 by doing the following steps: With iOS 16, Lock Screen will be more customizable than any Apple User has yet to experience, which was pretty rad to see, to be honest. The goal was to provide Apple users with "new ways to make it more, personal, beautiful, and helpful than ever." While the next generation iOS 16 is certainly going to help with all of that, it's also meant to largely provide "new intelligence, sharing, and communication features." Lock ScreenĬraig Federighi called iOS 16's Lock Screen revamp that "biggest update ever to the lock screen." After watching WWDC22, I have to say I haven't seen this many changes to lock screen, well. As Craig Federighi states, iOS software "helps you get so much done." It's largely about productivity, efficiency, and multitasking, especially after years of an increase in remote learning and remote work. If you've ever watched an Apple's Summer WWDC, then you know that iOS, and software in general, tend to be the focus, and this year was no different, give or take a few exceptions. Similarly, entrepreneur camps "for female founders" have recently "expanded the camps to reach black and Latin founders." Apple's hope, according to Tim Cook, is to create "tools, technologies, and inspiration to change the world for the better." Tim Cook also thought it was important to highlight their attempt to cultivating next generation engineers and unrepresented communities using developer academies.Īpple recently opened, last October, an Academy in Detroit geared toward what Tim Cook called Apple's "racial equity and justice initiative." They also opened one in Saudi Arabia specifically for women. Tech talks allow developers to learn more about Apple technologies, connect with Apple engineers, and have one-on-one office hours. The purpose of this article is to give you an easy-to-read version of an otherwise long event, since I know not everyone has two hours on a Monday to watch the Apple Keynote.Īt the beginning of WWDC22, Tim Cook highlighted the importance of the "over 34 million Apple developers" stating, "use their superpowers to innovate, create, and collaborate, making apps that continue to change the world." So, first and foremost, Tim Cook announced the recent opening of Tech Talks for developers. Note: Not every new Apple feature is listed in this article. If you are as eager as I am to scope out those two new, next generation products, let's get into it! Though the Apple Summer WWDC's tend to be more about software and less about hardware, there are two new products announced that you can spend the next four months or so drooling over! Don't worry, though, if you were hoping for some flashy new products to buy this Fall, you won't be disappointed. While WWDC22's introduction was slightly less exciting and action-packed than in previous years, it focused on big-picture issues that are indisputably more important than some flashy WWDC introduction. Introduced with the statement "Code one, code all," Apple largely focused on providing education, jobs, and equal opportunity to developers, while employing a fun superhero theme complete with Craig Federighi doing a full on superhero run and combing his hands through his hair. With a superhero, futuristic theme and a focus on next generation technology, Apple WWDC22 (Worldwide Developer's Conference 2022) approached Apple's newest software and technology from the mindset of world-change, equality, and ethical impact. |
